Three men and one woman were killed when a private fishing boat was swept down by a wave in Bodega Bay on the opening day of crab season. The men who died were identified late Saturday as Jessie Daniel Langley, 79, Samuel Garcia 86, and David Costa, 60. The name of the deceased woman was not yet released. None of the five people aboard the boat were wearing life vests. Sailing as part of a flotilla, the boat left Bodega Harbor at around 8:30 a.m and was hit on its left side by a wave on its way back to the harbor at around 10 a.m. The boat capsized while it was traveling between Bodega Head and Bodega Rock. One man, Phillip Sanchez, 66, managed to swim to the shore of Bodega Rock and was suffering hypothermia by the time he was rescued by a helicopter. The four victims were unconscious by the time they were found by the Coast Guard. One was pronounced dead at the scene, and three others were declared dead after paramedics failed to revive them en route to the hospital. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets.
