This was America, tons of innocents survive their loveones just and because a malicious revenge against happiness against any odds ~9/11/2001~

"'Never go through life saying you should have, if you want to do something, do it.'" I still remember this quote months after watching this, it is so true and inspiring. The video was so well put together also, it is emotional. This is also a topic not very touched about on 9/11 even though it was extremely important. Compared to Dunkirk, this is amazing...

The people who never, ever got the credit they deserved.

What kind of boat is the Amberjack V
-
AWESOME! That's all I can say.
-
i cried almost throughout the entire documentary
regular people with regular jobs-became heroes! -
Amazing. Born and raised here in nyc and still living. Lost many friends and family throughout this. Breaks my heart but as a fellow boat owner now in New York City I would have done the same thing even with my 28 footer that can only holy 12 people... That's 12 more that survive. God bless

It doesn't matter whether you believe it was an inside job or it wasn't an inside job, these people are heroes saving innocent lives.
-
GOD or whatever entity..BLESS YOU ALL!!! Thank you for your heroism and generous/courageous HEARTS!! xoxoxoxo

Quite a few of those vessels had propulsions systems made by my company down here in New Zealand. Very proud that we served.

It's amazing how many people responded to the radio call! So many people working together to help others. Just as the man said everyone helped everyone

Sometimes we look for definitions to make it easier to tell a story. The film starts with one person's definition of "hero". One only need to watch and listen to this story to "see" the definition of heroes. One call from the Coast Guard was all that was needed; the "American boat militia" responded, and at the end of 9 hours, a half million people had been rescued from lower Mahhattan. This was America at its best.

My english teacher had us study this and evaluate how heroism was shown. I forgot that Manhattan was on an island and never thought of how the people all evacuated. Movies and documentaries always show what happens in the buildings but I'm so glad this showed what happened outside.

Fantastic. My boat would take 16 people in that situation. Maybe I'm too small, but if I were in New York I would have loved to have helped. Honestly, this kind of thing is more than just something boaters would all be willing to do. Every boater would give his or her eye teeth to participate in something as cool as this.

I watched this in school today

I had no idea. Wow.
