Question for my fellow mariners @ 2:18 I see a Green triangle channel marker. What's that all about?? Is that a special denotation? or did someone just screw up??
-
That is why I do 3 knts in shallow water.
Very good video ! -
And he was doing such a great job...Just not deep enough...hope boat was ok.

Been stuck like that a dozen times, 22 ft Triumph, luckily, the boat is light enough to leg press out of the sand, ok squatting position, under the front of the hull, sometimes with a little reverse engine help if I am not alone, hasn't hurt anything on the Yamaha 150, aluminum prop got out of balance a couple times, hammered it back into shape, that boat is amazing.

Channel markers should have been better.

Way too fast for shallow, questionable conditions like that.
It sucks what people do to nice equipment. -
Excellent footage, poor boat.

Wow! stunning! You should really upload it at AirVuz.com! AirVuz is a platform for viewing and sharing drone videos. It's free and very easy to upload. It would be awesome if you uploaded your vids at AirVuz along with Youtube.
Hope you get a chance to check out AirVuz -
Ha ha we can see it coming - he can't! At that speed, he ran himself well aground, and would have been sat there for quite some time waiting for the tide to lift him off again. I bet he sucked a load of mud through the engine as well.

I was following a boat into the entrance of Tingalpa Creek and he didn't quite judge how low the tide was and if the shoal had shifted. Skip to 2:30 for grounding. Location: Lota, QLD, AUS Drone: Yuneec - Typhoon H Note: This is raw footage.
