hi love your boat. looks like Anchor Girl is almost done to a turn there.

Yes! I saw this guy when coming down the canal! He was drunk and yelling at all the boaters! His wife tried calming him down. He retaliated by squirting lemon juice in her eyes! I said ahoy! Calm down! He said "I am the boogie boo! Taste aluminum swagger!" He threw a grab hook at my boat! So I quickly hit the throttle and took off in the no wake zone! Fearing for my life!

Paul, I plan on buying something next spring, ( 2017) 35 to 40 ft, aft cabin, fly bridge mid 60s. I really like the older wooden classics. I live near the Detroit river, lots of neat hidden creeks like this. any experience with the older wooden ones?
-
Do yall also live on this boat?
-
I understand you frustration.

Im sorry. I'm struggling to find any " poor behaviour" in maritime terms. I speak as a 50 year veteran of small boat handling in an official capacity on Europe's coastal and inland waterways. Please help me identify and differentiate (up to 13 minute mark) the reprehensible behaviour from the breaking of local maritime law. It would be helpful for me to understand, especially why someone should sound their horn or get on the radio to signal an overtake. To my certain knowledge, there is not an official sound signal which specifically signifies a maritime overtake, so perhaps this is local law? Thanks...

Great Video. Have you considered getting a drone and shoot pics from up above ? I follow several people who sail with drones and the videos are awesome. Great job docking. Your wife looked like she was a nervous wreck docking. You had it all under control!!

Our last day for traveling on our 2015 boating adventure to Georgian Bay and heading back to our home port. After spending the prior two days/nights at Lock #43 (Swift Rapids) on the Trent Severn Waterway, we were trying to make the seven hour run before forecast thunderstorms hit. We could have shaved an hour off of that travel time, but were held up when we ran over a piece of carpet that flew off a boat in front of us while heading back. Turns out that that boat was our next door neighbors at our marina - that's why I am giving the young gentleman a hard time at the end of this video (the one tying up our forward line). If you haven't seen it yet, here's a link to the video I made of that little adventure; https://youtu.be/3Ba2FhJfKFU Ultimately, as you'll see in this presentation, we got back just in time, after a rough crossing of Lake Simcoe. Fortunately, the wind died down when we got back to our marina and we were able to dock, tie up, hook up our shore power right before a wicked thunderstorm rolled through. And yes, our gluten-free pizza was very tasty - and very welcome! Filmed in August, 2015. Captured with GoPro Hero 3 + Sony HXR NX-30U video camera Location of this video (beginning); 44.84215 -79.42621 Be sure to visit us at http://BoatsBeachesAndBars.com/video_store.html for information on purchasing our exclusive Trent Severn Waterway feature DVD/Blu-ray that takes you from the beginning at 'Mile Zero' in Trenton, Ontario, and through to Port Severn at the north west end at Georgian Bay.
