the boat was trying to get away

OK I have a great question for the smart ppl out there
IF a firetrucks deck cannon can do 1000 gal min should a boats deck gun be able to put out double or triple that of the firetrucks? what in saying is supple and demand? -
A new roof, some fresh paint ...

This video is better than news video. Good job! Why doesn't the Fire Dept. have grappling hooks when there's boat fires? Seems boats always get away from them. I'm not knocking them but really!
-
you can buff that out.
-
It don't take long before they are toast
-
I think it would have caused less pollution if they just towed it as close to the shore as possible and let it finnish burning, then retrieve the remains afterwards instead of spraying all the burnt bits and remaining oils and fuels into the water like that.

What to expect in Raw Videos? Shaky Cams
-
Wow ... you'd think that fire boat would sink carrying all that water!
-
Should've turned their hoses on the idiot in the helicopter hanging around making unnecessary noise.
-
It is called a raw video because the bodies inside the boat, did not have the time to get cooked properly!
-
why is it called a RAW video you poofta?
-
Looks like a PennYan
-
Damn! That was a nice looking boat.

This is one reason if I were to ever acquire a small boat like this. I would only have either DIESEL, CNG, or ELECTRIC propulsion -- N E V E R PETROL! Petrol is way too dangerous as fumes do mount even under best of circumstances. That is WHY it is so important to switch on ventilation or exhaust fans (blowers) for at least half hour or... longer depending on size of vessel, BEFORE attempting to start petrol engines! Many boats wound up like this video because owner (or whoever) had failed to vent before starting engine(s)!
Diesel fuel is nowhere near as volatile as petrol and thus presents much less of problem (though I still would vent before starting even diesel engines as well (won't hurt anything)! Diesel also has slower 'flame speed' than petrol regardless of octane rating. (The flame speed for petrol is typically 16.5 m/s).
If one were to go aboard some engine rooms on larger vessels such as very large boats crossing the line to definition of small ships and up, one would notice that engine rooms are generally ALWAYS ventilated!
let this be a lesson to boat owners, especially with petrol inboard fuel storage and engines -- ALWAYS endeavour to ventilate FIRST before starting engine(s)! -
That heli pilot is a lot smarter than you kid He was nowhere near that boat.
