Who ever post this is dumb - the guy done well I'd do the same if I was alone and our boats 15 tonne

You can use the same tactic to slingshot yourself from the dock when the wind is pushing you against it
-
But look at the hits

At sea all my life cant see any anything that i would not do if i was alone

Misleading video title. Reported.

Nothing special. I do that quite often with my own boat of 72 feet.
Something else is that he should not leave the ropes around like he does, for others to stumble, that is bad seamanship ;-) -
It's all fun and games until the cleat pulls off the pier/boat or the mooring line snaps while nobody is onboard and the boat is in forward gear.
-
well done sir. Very slick
-
wow, impressive!
how the heck did he do that?
cool. -
Obviously the up loader is a bit of a dick lol!

There are 3 ways to operate any vessel. This is the third. 1) the right way 2) the wrong way 3) the Coast Guards way. The great licensed skippers all have learned the Coast Guards way to go do it the right way. The theory is sound and as shown it does work but try it with a 70 foot boat thats 18 feet high in a 60 knot wind and this would be a different video. Miles of open dock along side motor up and make fast. This kind of stuff should stay in the books 100 Ton Master

Bad idea !

If you cant dock a boat without assistance you shouldnt be owning one...
