The Catana 582 is a heavy catamaran? Why does a heavy catamaran go down a wave slower than a light one? Would a 80 foot mono (triple reefed main and no headsail) sail comfortably in those conditions?

Nice boat if you are a millionaire. Eventually you have to dock it somewhere. Not easy finding moorage for a cat, where I'm from.
