I promise you this is the best biscuit video, that I've seen thus far. I do have a question. I saw a clip of a reality show the other day where a lady was making biscuits and she never took the mix out of the mixing bowl and used an ice cream scoop to scoop them in a muffin pan she never manipulated the dough I'm guessing once she started mixing.. Now I'm not sure of how true that is, but they looked quite enticing once she took them out of the oven. You know how they edit certain parts out of a show. I just wanted to know if I tried that method with your recipe would it work. You know me not manipulated the dough, and dipping it into a muffin pan. I hope I didn't confuse you much.

These are so wonderful! I watched the video a week or so back and thought they'd make a great addition to our Thanksgiving table. But somehow I couldn't stop thinking about them. So I decided to make us a "trial run" batch two nights ago, and we've been loving them.. Oh my gosh, are they delicious. Love your videos, Betty (from a fellow retired college instructor down here in Texas)!

Those are absolutely beautiful biscuits. I had no idea you could keep the dough on hand like that. I'm blown away. Many thanks.
Betty demonstrates how to make Angel Biscuits. These biscuits are quick and easy to make. After the biscuit dough is made, it is refrigerated until needed (for up to a week). These are terrific for a holiday dinner. Angel Biscuits 5 cups all-purpose flour ¾ cup butter, cold and cut into small cubes 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 3 teaspoons baking powder 3 tablespoons sugar 1 package active dry yeast (dissolved in ½ cup warm water—about 105 degrees [F]) 2 cups buttermilk ½ cup butter, melted (for dipping biscuits before baking) In a very large bowl, stir together flour, soda, salt, baking powder, and sugar. Cut in cold butter, until mixture consists of very fine crumbs. Add buttermilk and dissolved yeast. Stir until all flour is just moistened. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to use. When ready to make biscuits, take out only what you need, and return the rest back to the refrigerator. Roll dough out on a clean, floured surface, until it is ½ inch thick. Cut with a biscuit cutter, dip in melted butter, and place on baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees (F) for 12 minutes. This dough will make about 60 small or 40 large biscuits. Dough will keep in refrigerator (covered tightly) easily up to a week.
