would Foam will be good to have while traveling around the world.And how to keep the foam warm because if the foam is warm I'm thinking it can keep the inside of the boat warm ??????????

Good advice.... K.I.S.S. Keep it simple stupid. LOL... Always have redundancy when adventuring alone. Have manual backups.. Or.. the electronic xbox junk is okay for being lazy.. but, word to the wise, learn the old ways and practice, practice and practice again.. Sea tow insurance is great, but they can't help you once you get too far off shore. Learn the charts.. learn to plot.. learn how to do set and drift.. DMDVT! Nice acronym to remember when plotting your coarse.. A good star chart is also a requirement and though led lights are great, have some old time kerosene lamps... they don't need batteries!

Can you please give me some expert advice if its possible for me to sail around the world in a nordic folkboat built 1962. Fantastic condition in the wood. Do you think i can do crossings or do you recomend me to stay close to the coast?

I love this question, I could spend hours pondering this :-) When I'm asked, I always figure that the best boat is the one that you have or can afford. In other words, better see the world in SOME boat, than never get away in the boat that you only dream of.
