Headlines: Benetti’s largest superyacht to date, latest 80 metre project from sea level yacht design, previously owned by Mussolini , ‘fiamma nera’ seized from her owner a concept that looks like a flying pyramid. It’s February 1st and this is Morgane with your daily marine news Over the weekend, the prestigious Livorno-based Italian shipyard, Benetti, launched their largest superyacht to date – the exciting new 90-metre LIONHEART, previously known as FB 262. This striking displacement vessel bears both naval architecture as well as exterior design by the yard’s in-house team. The latest 80 metre superyacht concept to come from the drawing boards of the Dutch studio Sea Level Yacht Design is the CF8 motor yacht. A bold new design, CF8 stands for ‘Cars and Family in 80 metres’, with the concept created with a certain type of owner in mind who typically enjoys innovative new designs and requires ample storage for a luxury car collection. 'Fiamma Nera' (Black Flame), a yacht that once belonged to Benito Mussolini, was among the 28 million euros worth of assets seized by finance police Monday from a businessman suspected of large-scale tax evasion. A total of 32 plots of land and 75 properties were seized from the businessman and two other people. Is that a flying pyramid? NO! It’s a yacht! The Tetrahedron would have the appearance at high-speed of ‘levitating’ over the water: a boat that can fly. This is A Hydrofoil Small Waterplane Area Ship - that is comprised of a single vertical strut onto a single submerged ‘torpedo’ hull. The vessel will lift out of the water at speed on side-mounted adjustable hydrofoils. Thank you for watching and don’t forget to visit boatshowavenue.com for more marine news!
