this is the dumbest shit ever. wonder how many people ran over their anchor line following this advice? drop your anchor, drift the stern in and bring a tag line with you. tie it to a tree. done

Hello, i would like to ask why the chains of both anchors, main and secondary are so short for so big boat. As far as i know the length of the chain must be at least the length of the boat. But generally a little longer or shorter i guess its not that big deal but the chains in the video look way very short. Thank you.

It's a good technique but it looks a bit cumbersome. Why not just back up the boat while letting the rode out until the anchor is set? You then can just set the stern anchor at the beach. I'm mostly concerned with letting the rode
out through the side and having to watch the propellers while turning the boat. -
sounds like work. why not drop anchor, back in toward beach and have crew hop out and secure stern anchor?

Anne's got one job; to run the anchor chain up over the gunwales to scratch the shit out of the fiberglass. Anne would be swimming home if she did that to my boat.

my left ear enjoyed that

why not pull in and beach it then anchor onto shore?with a hook anchor it should pose no problem with tide. I do it all the time with mine only I don't have tide in a lake.
-
I thought you were never to anchor from the rear of th boat?
-
Brilliant tips there for a temp beach stop :)

He did say temporarily... So maybe this is acceptable, but - otherwise this is pretty poor technique. To properly set the anchor you should motor it in.
