A member of the Italian Navy has described the dramatic rescue missions he has been involved in, to bring Libyan migrant passengers to safety. In just the first week of May, the navy rescued 124 children, 10 of them newborns. Lieutenant Giuseppe Bisceglia has described seeing the panic on board the migrants boats that get into trouble.
