looks like a lot of very out of date and grumpy old trainspotters here , Bav had a problem from 1998 -2005 approx with falling quality and technical issues, all of that is way behind them now. So poor old werner hasn't read anything since one model on only 2 occassions >10 years ago had a faulty keel, poor old marcin can't afford a new boat so that means everyone else's must be rubbish. as for fishings comments , the quality of the often solid wood on a new generation bav is way beyond the french plastic coated offering. As for HB dreamers yep if you pay 4 times the price you get real wood and a higher resail value this is a apparently a surprise to them , I guess bliners come with financial illeracy ? . So then I do hope the woolly hat and smelly trainer sailors continue to have fun spending endless weekends in the cold fixing up the piece of junk they bought and never sailing it, but I really don't see why they then have to try and attack those of us who made an informed and sensible decision as we sit in the bays of the Med. sipping our rose and sliding down a nice piece of fish....carry on

Interesting. The woodwork looked like it didn't have a very good finish tho.

volksvagen for sailors, sorry dont loke it, that video shows only technology process for how to build massive obsolence projected boat fot stock, usles for sailors good for short term charters
-
Would like to have access to the varnish machine. Interesting video - "Henry Ford goes sailing".

Forget Bavarias and Beneteaus. Low quality hidden behind glossy surfaces. The keel fgets loose. See other youtubes and ratings on internet.

To Bullerias and Yachthydra A lot of Snob attitude coming out here..... Hallberg Rassy and other of the like do use higher quality woods etc, however...... BUT take another look at the Recent Bavarias Vision 42,46 and New Cruisers etc they are entirely different to some of the old Bavaria models - the quality is good and of course the price is good too. And to be honest you are entirely wrong about the charter market - that was true some years ago but they are firmly looking at the private market these days.
-
Huge difference between a crafted boat and assembled boat. Hallberg Rassy will hold its value after many years and are constructed for individual sailors. Bavarias are made cheaply for the charter trade

I like the efficiency of the production, i do not really understand why people pay 1mln euro for a costum build boat while you have the 'same' yacht for a quarter of the price, I think bavaria is doing very well!

Forgot Bavaria: Low Quality, high output, thats all...

Bavaria Yachts, I think . . . (not Baveria)

I've sailed a bavaria and don't want to experience it again: at close haul with a bit of lean (not much, maybe 7-8°) the doars under deck actually sprung open because the whole boat was changing shape... the low price does come at a cost

Very cool!
