How did you mount the gopro?

Nicely done! Love Hobie's and love your video. We have access to a Hobie recently and I have started filming with my GoPro. Love the angle might use it next! :)

I have a race tonight. I sail a nacra i20. Maybe i could upload some footage

...until that final run towards shore. Then we let it fly.
-
We were racing, and chose speed over flying a hull.
-
For more fun, keep your weight a bit more aft and let the windward hull fly a bit more!

nice camera perspective!

Love the 21

Most of the others were monohulls, but it's still fun! The trimaran kept us on our toes.

Always fun to see another 21 going faster than all other boats on the water!
Making Wake - Catamaran sailing on Richard Rayburn's Hobie 21 "Fat Cat." What started off as a light-air day buoy-racing with the Lake Monroe Sailing Association quickly turned into a pretty decent wind thanks to an approaching storm. Richard wisely decided we should head for shore during the third race, and we enjoyed the ride all the way back to Sanford (Seminole County, Florida). Shot with a GoPro HD Hero2 camera in 1080p 30fps mode (http://www.gopro.com/). Richard made a custom aluminum bracket that attaches to the spin pole with hose clamps. It's flat on top, the same size as the mounting base included in the GoPro box, so that was mounted on it with four machine screws. It served as a fairly stable mount, but there was shake in the spin pole at various times, especially when the jib luffed. It did that more than usual because a screw had popped out of the port jib block mount early on. We had to hand-tie it in place, and were afraid to put too much pressure on it.
