You could save a lot of structure spaces if you didn't use that metal floor. Just use the raft itself as the floor and it works fine

Edit: Heard at the end of your video that your server allows more structures on boats. My point only really applies to official servers, where you have a very small build limit
just place a foundation next to the pillar and it will sink in flush. Less mats that way.
