did you blow the halyard? if so I would think that would be the wrong call, get the kite to the boat then blow the halyard, correct me if I'm wrong.

Amazing broach on an Etchells 22 ! All started well, but the crew had a few problems at the end of the gybe. The Etchells broached and they were forced to take the spinnaker down.
