How many school teachers could have been paid for the cost of this boat. Notice this is filmed Tiburon / Belvedere / Corinthian island Calif. I would encourage everyone to visit this place, drive there, bring your family and friends, come by the thousands to drive every road, film every house, watch how these people live. Go for walks around the island, picnic in their parks, shop in their grocery stores. Visit every day, the more the merrier, you will feel welcomed, you will be greeted by the warm outgoing, caring individuals that they are.

and I thought the speed record for a sail boat was set by a pros-rocket 2,at 65.44 knots,in 2012
about 10 knits faster than your boat -
They must have been pissed when a sail boat built for 100th the cost smashed their record in the same year 2012. Don't know what the world record is now, but I know 5 years ago the fastest sail boat set the record at 65+knots average speed over 1km with a top speed of 68knots.

I never knew about a boat like this!! This is awesome! I guess it uses ground effect to lift from the surface and then reducing the drag from the dense water! Wonderful idea but I guess it requires alot from the crew!

http://cnet.com/update It's called L'Hydroptere and the French concept sailboat -- with its marine style wings -- basically flies on the water. CNET's Molly Wood meets Alain Thebault, the boat's skipper, and gets an inside look at the tech that makes it glide.
