Unstoppable Alinghi... Rule, Switzerland! Switzerland rule the waves...

Alinghi on a starboard tack clearly had the right of way. Red Bull team at fault.

Don't worry honey I will cancel the order on your new Ferrari. Thank goodness that the damage isn't that bad. I thought I might have to sell off your retirement estate or worse yet cancel my 3 month holiday island hopping in FiJi

Play the game and take the hits. I would hope that a fleet like the extreme 40s could self insure themselves and the whole fleet would pitch in for repairs for each other under a subscription out of the franchise and TV rights money. The audience loves this type of action. The x40 doesn't bear away too well under pressure so these things are likely to happen from time to time.

In the Extreme Sailing series, is Red Bull under obligation to pay for the repairs to Alinghi? Or is it more like NASCAR where you have to take care of your own damage as it is just part of racing? I know in regular racing you would have to pay to repair the other boat but is that the case in the Extreme series? What are they under contracted to do?
