That is a Smith Gas Saver. Do a Google search for Smith Gas Saver. It has a small pilot light so that the torch doesn't have to be re-lit each time and the flame adjusted. It is very convenient when using the torch in situation where you are constantly turning the torch on and off.

what is the stand you have for your torch? it appears to include some sort of striker/igniter?

Easy to make simple day sailing catamaran. This piece is all done with RG 45; an inexpensive mild steel gas welding rod. Using this basic concept you can make larger or smaller catamarans, or raise the bar and build more complex catamaran designs.
