my boat is 41 foot and cannot sink it has 500 gk of foam below deck ,which is 14 qubic m my boat has nothing below but a toilet its a daycharter cat 44 passengers loyds standard

Sweet sailing by what looks like a heavy, stable, cat.
-
Beaufort force 8, 34-40 knots, Gale, Moderately high (18-25 ft) waves of greater length, edges of crests begin to break into spindrift, foam blown in streaks.
-
Nice looks like fun
-
What was the wind speed? We sometimes found the boat prefers sail and speed in these conditions but of course each situation requires its own unique methods. A great video !!!

Exciting! (August 2013).
-
In order for sea's to look big on camera the are OMG big, 20' plus.
-
wish your video would have included some bow action, would like to have seen how she took on those waves & was there much tension release on your rigging on the downside of those waves?
-
You might be overpressed forward if it bobs and weaves like a demented moose. If you are running motors than you probably don't have enough sail up and the seas are pushing you around, the motor clears the wave and over-revs and then bogs when the props hit the water again.

Why won't a cat sink?
-
@salgiron Agreed; and if it gets bad enough, just deploy a chute and bridle and the cat will slow to zero and keep the twin bows pointed nicely into the monster waves. You'll be infinitely more comfortable doing this in a big cat than in a mono, e.g., no vicious, side-to-side rocking. On top of that, cats won't sink, even if flipped. If a mono rolls, you could have big time trouble, as in blub...blub...blub...'til you finally hit the bottom.

@catabroker The 38' handles it well too.
-
Great footage . . . only wish it lasted longer!

Y is the category on pets and animals
-
holy f*** that looks scary as hell and cool
-
Notice the easiness of the vessel. You can drink a cup of hot chocolate and not spill. Can't do that in a monorail...
-
Great video, the Leopard 46' is a true blue water boat!
