Just blew my mind watching "Captain Phillips" never thought a bunch of smelly assholes on a rowboat with a motor could bring down a ship. But under pusscake politically correct Obama they could, not anymore. They should sell vacations like this, like big game hunter vacations. You get to sit with an M16 on one of these ships just preying, yes preying one of these asshole shit boats show up

Good shooting, U.S.S Farragut (DDG-99) guys.

Donald J Trump is right, CNN, BuzzFeed etc only reports bullshit, bias and fake news. I really dislike the mass media. I have to educate you arrogant children myself why these people are doing this. A United Nations report and several news sources have suggested that the piracy off the coast of Somalia was caused in part by illegal fishing by foreign boats taking advantage of the war, which resulted in lost fishing income to local communities.[6][7][8] According to the DIW and the US House Armed Services Committee, the dumping of toxic waste in Somali waters by foreign vessels also severely constrained the ability of local fishermen to earn a living. In response, the fishermen began forming armed groups to stop the foreign ships. They eventually turned to hijacking commercial vessels for ransom as an alternate source of income.[5][9] In 2009, a survey by WardheerNews found that approximately 70 percent of the local coastal communities at the time "strongly support[ed] the piracy as a form of national defense of the country's territorial waters". The pirates also believed that they were protecting their fishing grounds and exacting justice and compensation for the marine resources stolen.[10][11][12] In the absence of an effective national coast guard following the outbreak of the civil war and the subsequent disintegration of the Armed Forces, local fishermen formed organized groups in order to protect their waters. This is reflected in the names adopted by some of the pirate networks, such as the National Volunteer Coast Guard, which are testimony to the pirates' initial motivations.[13] However, as piracy became substantially more lucrative, other reports have speculated that financial gain became the primary motive for the pirates.[14][15][16].
The western world caused all this, and they are calling us pirates and thieves. We are victims of third world exploitation. But again, we are the "bad guys". Now, my educated children. Don't spread hate and arrogance, and use critical sources, if you know what the fuck that is.

" sending them on their way with just their skiff and enough fuel and water to make it back to their country of origin." So you pretty much let murderers retreat, regroup and attack another ship that isn't armed. A wise and smart decision indeed. In case people don't get it, that last part was sarcasm.

During the 2010 deployment of the USS Farragut (DDG-99), we intercepted suspected pirates and ending up sending them on their way with just their skiff and enough fuel and water to make it back to their country of origin. We proceeded to open fire with various weapons (.50cal MG, M240B, 25mm) on their mother ship. The shot here is the single and first shot from the 25mm that did the most damage as we let the ship burn before opening up on it from various angles with the weapons listed above. Also to be clear, no one was in the ship we shot in this video. http://www.worldculturepictorial.com/blog/content/us-navy-ship-uss-farragut-lets-11-somali-pirates-go-
