Americans need to join the rest of the world and use the metric system

I'm not sure on that diamonddog257. Mine already had memphis shades slim quick release set up. Mine isn't the tourer model.

It's not a speed demon that's for sure. I have got it 100 mph but not for long. It's awesome at 70-80 mph on the freeway all day long. It fits me great and I love it. I have now logged 12,000 miles time for a new rear tire.

My 5th Yamaha, I have the non-tour model, but added the quick release wind shield. Also, I would not call this an entry level bike, perhaps the 250 or 650 cc models, yes. Reason: the long wheel base and turning radius may post a challenge to a lot of new riders from the git go. Also a hefty 600+ lbs wet... this thing falls over on you, could cause a trip to the emergency room.
Not an easy bike to maneuver, plus all new riders should (IMHO) get several hours on a smaller <250 class bike (off/on road) advanced safety classes, then move up to the big cruisers. -
I average 50 to 60 most days best yet was 90 miles to the gallon doing back roads at 55mph

I've got 09 year model. It's not a tourer but set up like. I love mine.
