I've just test ridden a Roadster. I liked the styling but, god, those footpegs were awful and the LCD speedometer is unreadable. I could (almost) forgive the foot-pegs and came very close to buying one, I got offered a really good deal from the dealer, but at the 11th hour I changed my mind and it was all down to that Speedo. Having to stare long and hard to try and read the speed and therefore taking your eyes off the road ahead, for too long, is bordering on dangerous. I just kind of thought that if HD really couldn't be bothered to get that vital user interface right then they don't deserve my money.

I don't like the high profile.
-
Some improvements I like it.

Too expensive. XR 1200 was better and cheaper.

Which is a better bike Roadster or 48?

The thing a lot of people seem to miss about Harley is that they don't ever really set out to do something else because that's not who they are. We've seen classic American companies try to move to the modern era and they flop hard. Like Colt for instance. They tried it and they failed. Now they've scaled down and focused on 1911s and ARs and business is picking up again. It's the same for Harley except they just know not to make that mistake. And yeah maybe there will be some haters along the way who whine and cry because Harley continues to do the same good ole thing that made them famous. But you know what? Those people most likely would never buy a Harley anyway, they're already set on a Triumph or something. So why even bother pandering to them? It's just BS noise. For Harley It's not about just building something that's fast like everyone else. It's about building something that's mechanical art and a piece of history. It's like it Chevy still built 60s Camaros. It's American nostalgia and it seems like it's completely lost in all those who only care about going fast for cheap

Hello guys, do u recommend Harley-Davidson roadster, 883 iron or forty-eight for first motorcycle? :)
-
just curious.. I just wanna ask if you can install after market oil cooler with this???

I'm trying to decide on a sportster model. The roadster has the 1200, higher clearance, but not sure about the low bars. Wonder if 2" risers would work without needing new cables...?
-
Oh no. Inverted forks? This is going to confuse the Harley mechanics. Just ask any Buell owner.

The music is distracting and unnecessary. It's not a commercial.
