I have a 2015 Ford Explorer with less than 6,300 miles and it doesn't matter what setting the A/C is on, I get the smell and odor no matter. The remedy is to open the windows wide and evacuate the gas. I pity the owner who tows a trailer and hits high revs on a regular basis, you're basically going to pass out and die if this isn't fixed.
The exhaust comes into the cabin when you accelerate over 3500 rpms and is very strong. Ford has worked on our SUV four times with no results and I personally support out local Ford service they are actually working with us and trying to help us. This is an engineering nightmare for both the customer and the service departments who have to work on this time and time again.
I filed a BBB lemon law complaint and frankly expect no remedy from Ford. They will keep trying to "fix" the problem until the warranty runs out or I get so frustrated I just give up. Only 154 Explorer owners have complained so this won't get any attention until someone crashes into the Ford headquarters or the NHTSA building after passing out from the CO fumes before anything is done. Especially now that Ford has Trumps ear...There goes highway and vehicle safety!! -
Look to everyone bashing ford, we all know that ford was trash back in the day and you certainly couldn't pack on a lot of miles on it. But after decades don't you think ford has already improved their products? Certainly time will tell...
-
Why are you calling it 80K usd, that's almost double what the top model actually costs...
-
$85k? Shut up and go for used disco 3 with 100k miles. $15k... that's enought
-
Discovery 4 is the best!
-
please compare Ford Everest 2016 with Range Rover Discovery Sports
-
which town are they driving in? Looks awesome.
-
why? if your comparing cars you need to do it dollar for dollar..the landrover starts at $10000 more and the titanium is a top spec model. the landrover should be better in the cabin.

why are the american cars way nicer like not even comparable to this nicer
-
Hi all, I have been driving ford ranger for three years which is the Ute version of the Everest and it is a great car, two days ago a got a new everest titanium for 76k and it is a great SUV, fair enough the disco might be more expensive with a bigger reputation but my personal preference I would go for the Everest.
-
80 grand for a top tier Everest is a joke. I'll take my 80 grand and buy a used LX570.
-
Australian made
-
Ok first up in Australia where this is filmed, go check your pricing and see what you get out of the $85k disco 4. Cloth interior, no sat nav, no parking sensors, no reverse camera, no lane assist etc.. Oh also no custom orders either as they stopped making them and the disco 5 comes out November next year.. The model they tested looks like the hse version which is 105k off memory, so is it 20k more car than the Everest?
-
really enjoyed the banter .
-
Such a BS, it is interesting how you guys neglected to point out the minuses of the ford when you compared it to the toyota and how you pushed for the Disco. So bias. It is almost like a paid ad. The Land Rover cars are the most unreliable cars on the market... Landroverhell dot com

no mention about the check engine light being on
We’ve shown that the new Ford Everest can hold its own against the best selling 7-seat off-road SUV on the market, the Toyota Landcruiser Prado. But at close to $80-grand, the Everest Titanium is no cheap bush basher and in fact is knocking on the door of some of the most well-known premium brands on the market Enter the Land Rover Discovery. Premium name, premium heritage and premium street appeal – and with this SDV6 SE model, within $7k of the Ford’s retail price. We know these two can handle the bush, but lets head back to town to see how they deal with the urban jungle. ------------------------------------------------------------- http://CarAdvice.com.au is focused on getting people into the right car for them.
