It is a beauty. I think I'll sell my VTX 1300 for the Raider
-
I have owned a 1000 ninja, a 2007 Honda st1300 both great motorcycles. I recently bought a Yamaha raider bullet cowl model and its has been the best cruiser I have owned to date handles really good for the design.
-
What a fucking idiot, go back to a car!!
-
How long have you been riding? Surely it couldn't be long.
-
Cruisers are nice you just need to get used to them.
-
Queer on a Cruiser that's what you are. How do I know? You missed the most important feature. The engine is a "push rod" engine, using hydraulic lifters. hence never a need to have the valves adjusted. So a biker who does not know engines is definitely queer-gay.
-
Well! It's a beautiful bike and it's all about the pleasure of riding. If you compare it to other bikes then you must only compare it to cruisers! I have the Yamaha xvs1300,thanks for the video.nice one

A bike's a bike, man. Of all the different styles, makes, and models, the fundamentals are the same. I do NOT ride crotch rockets, generally. I've have ridden GSX-R's, Ninja's, and CBR's before. It takes a couple minutes to get acclimated to it, but once you do, it's like riding any other bike. I love my '06 V-Star to pieces, wouldn't trade it for anything. But sometimes, it's nice to experience different things. I didn't seem to have NEARLY as much trouble transitioning to the sport bikes as you did transitioning to the cruiser.
Furthermore, quit bashing new riders. Yes, sometimes they have to look at the pedals, so what? You were there at one point and to be honest, it doesn't really sound like you're much off if you're having that kind of trouble.
On a side note, the Raider was a fantastic riding and handling bike.
And for those saying cruisers are slow/don't have power/don't handle well/etc., not that I'm a Harley advocate or anything, but hop on a V-Rod sometime. -
There are some ignorant people commenting here!! Anyways I get what you're saying. I've only had three bikes and all 1000cc crotch rockets and have ridden a few cruisers, metrics and Harley's. They are completely different but In a good way.
They just have a lot less power and can't handle nearly as good but since they are called cruisers that's exactly what they are good for. I'm done speeding on the street and might get a cruiser one day but it would have to have some kind of balls like the Raider. I'm worried that if I did get one I'd regret it after seeing a few supersports pass me on some twisties and Finnish the rest of my ride jealous, lol. You did ride a nice cruiser for it being you're first one though. Stay safe on them 2s -
If you wanna powerfull bike, why dont you test the NEW VMAX?
-
Same things happened to me as well, lol
-
Okay, well, your loss. You give my bike a bad review, but when I try to review your video you delete my comments and argue, and get condescending. You can dish it out, but you can't take it!
-
Man the narrator was annoying to hear. Is you don't ride cruisers, don't talk about them like they are defective, simply because you suck at it.
-
always the problem for me.. I'm 60 and want to do some long trips eh.. but could I drop to the gutless mobile armchairs that old guys and dem gay Hells Angels ride. I'd like to say at this point that one of my brothers is an Angel and no he's not gay - just a loser. In fact he's too scared to ride my Ninja600. Bloody hell. So I keep coming to the same conclusion - no I can't go back in power, in fact I want more. So yeh... a superbike with ( shock horror ) panniers it shall be. I'll stop more often and book hotels with softer beds. And when I twist that throttle, life will be worth living :)

For everybody who does not hate this video...all two of you... this is my bike account. I'm uploading tons of bike videos on it and making Carlyle's Picks more about my favorite picks.

First of all I want to say thanks to Carlyle for approaching this subject of a Sport bikers 1st time on a cruiser.
I have ridden bikes my whole life and was a Dealer sponsored AMA Supercross rider for a local Yamaha shop in my home town for about 5 years when I was a young man. I have been riding sport bikes for years and now ride a Gixxer ..
I have only ridden a cruiser once in my life when I was about 19 years old and I dropped it in a very slow speed turn. I am now 45 and have several back injuries over the years and I am now thinking of trying a cruiser again ..
My best buddy has a $30,000 fully decked out HD Ultra-Glide and he is begging me to take it for a spin. I have to be honest and tell you guys that I have a ton of anxiety over this and I am scared to damn death of dropping my friends bike. Every time I go to his house I sit on the bike and pull it off the kick stand but that's as far as I can make myself go.
As a sport biker and a responsible friend to my buddy. I cannot make myself ride this bike for many different reasons. The number one reason is that I know that this bike is "his baby" and no matter how many times he tells me that "if I drop it, it will be ok" I still know that it wont be ok in my mind and probably not his either. My buddy has seen me ride and make 600ft jumps on my YZ250's and he has seen me ride a wheelie for 500 yrds on my Gixxer so he has a lot of faith in me. Unfortunately I don't and I think its that factor alone that will get me into trouble if I jump on his big ass bitch of a bike.
Maybe I am over thinking the whole damn thing but it would just break my damn heart if I were to hurt his bike.
Carlyle I know that I am probably a bigger basket case than you when you rode this cruiser but at least you let me know that I am not the only one that suffers from this weird type of Sport bike / cruiser anxiety. -
Well I have ridden my cruiser and sportbike on the twisties. Both are fun and capable to be enjoy on those type of road. Its just how you define fun and enjoyable. Anyway nice video btw..
-
dud stay wit the sport bikes u cant compare cruisers to rockets which you did in this vid a lot!!!
-
dude ur gay this bike is tits!!!!
-
Total bullshit. The Raider has plenty of torque. In fact it will beat most sport bikes off the line. What we had here was an inexperienced cruiser rider who did not know what the fuck he was doing or talking about. This was a real waste of time
Please watch: "NEW BMW M2 Coupe & REVVING at 2016 Detroit Auto Show" ➨ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyT0HYtDfu4 -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Rode my first cruiser bike. The 2014 Star Motorcycles Raider. The experience was interesting to say the least and even a bit funny at times to reflect on. _________________________________ *Carlyle's Picks - www.carlylespicks.com* Reviews, information and ACTION videos on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays!!
