After watching the video and hearing your complaints, why not just get a Versys 1000LT? It has the same engine as the kawasaki.
-
Morons.. the Aprilia has a top box = weight.Larger fuel tank = weight. Of course it's heavier.
Out of the dozens of reviews I've read and watched yours bashes it the most. Hasn't changed my mind.. I know what I'm buying. :D -
ninja 1000 = next bike.
-
Seen the dumb intro and switching off.
-
I don't know. There's some CRAZY deals on leftover Caponords since no one wants to buy them. They're all over the place for 9 and 10 K. For 15-16k? No way. But for around 10K, it's very tempting to be sure.

my love is kawasaki. but this ducati, is very beatifull.
-
1 with top box the rest are without. Really not apple to apple comparison.
-
HOW desperate are you ?
-
Last time I watch any videos from these guys.
-
A useless review. Why do these guys test these bikes and not appreciate them for for what they are, they are totally missing the point. Obviously their brief was way off.
rubbish review. -
Waiting for the ultimate comparison.. Multistrada adventure, Caponord Rally, 1200 gs adventure, 1290 super adventure and 1000 XR !!!!!!!!
-
In the real world the soft suspension of the Aprilia as they put it makes a lot of sense it's a sport/Turing/ adventure bike there's compromise with that. my money's on Aprilia
-
I'll keep my old school 2002 Fz1. Thanks.

I owned my 2011 Ninja 1000 for four years. I never noticed any vibrations with mentioning, but maybe because I trashed the entire stock exhaust and the pig lost like 30 pounds!

I owned a 2011 (first year) Kawasaki Ninja 1000. I'm 6'2", 175#, and this bike was all day comfortable, more flickable than my Honda Interceptor, and WAY more capable and fun than the Interceptor. Shawn is full of sheet saying it was not as comfy as the Ducati. Tell Shawn to take his Ducati for a ride around town and see how choppy and unsafe the fuel mapping is on ANY Ducati under 4500rpm! The Ninja pulls away without a hiccup in any gear at 2000rpm. I tricked mine out with Akropovic dual race exhaust that popped on so easy it took less than an hour. I had factory heated grips and factory side bgas. A Puig windscreen with an MRA deflector, Pazzo levers, and Sargent seat. The seat made no big difference and IMO was a waste of money. The Kawasaki is butter smooth and is more capable than most of its owners when it comes to sport riding. The Aprilia? Good luck finding a dealer, and there's a reason for that - their quality and service are shit. Btw, the Ducati is classified as an adventure tourer. Most adventure tourers come with a center stand. The Ninja does not. The fork travel is longer, and ground clearance on the Ducati is higher. As a tall rider you can compare seat height of the Ducati with the Suzuki V-strom. You don't see people looking to put adventure tires on a Ninja 1000. Ducati Multi-Stradas come with adventure tires. This comparison was stupid from the get-go. The Ninja is the only sport touring bike out of the three.

sorry i need clarification...whats the difference between adventure/touring and sports touring? the main reason is i get sports touring its a sporty bike when it needs to be and more comfortable at distance, but adventure touring puzzles me...
Mainly...whats the difference between a touring bike and an adventure/touring? -
How can the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 be classed as a adventure/touring bike? I always wondered why the Japanese don't have any rubbish dumps!
-
Why is it the more expensive bikes always have fueling problems so when there are testing these bikes there is no way they do not know about it but they sell them to people that way?
-
I like all three bikes, but hate those pee sample bottles near the bars in your face.

What a load of shite these 3 talk
According to my weather app, it was officially 100 degrees at 10pm the night we rode in to Borrego Springs, CA, during our Middleweight Sport-Touring Shootout. I’m sitting poolside sipping a tasty, cold beverage while bossmen, Kevin Duke and Sean Alexander, discuss the finer points of gun control in the parking lot.
