I don't see how you can call the engine easily accessible. Maybe easy to look at but not work on. The alternator is touching the firewall. Batteries mounted in the cabin?? they off gas when charging

These newer versions of the 105Mc are much better decorated and laid out. They have gotten better with time. I survey many of these Gemini Cats and have owned and cruised a 2001 34' Gemini 105Mc for years.

Now built by Catalina, nice !
-
Only problem with that boat is, its made by Hunter marine. Cheap Bayliner quality.
-
You should do your walkthrough without the annoying interruptions of the music and still frames. Your voice explaining the video is much better than stills.
-
this is just perfect for me..how much is this catamaran cost dear Caroline?
-
Hot looking lady!
-
Very ordinary looking finish inside hatches/lockers. Here in Australia and New Zealand, if you finished a boat like that you'd be laughed out of biz

Aloha Caroline.
A few years ago, the day after Strictly Sail Pacific closed, several sailboats moved up to Berkeley Marina for a day of hands-on demo sailing. The Lagoon Hybrid was the biggest boat, and it had 'technical difficulties'. Next was the Seawind 1200, with that brand new triple folding retractable saloon door that cranked up out of the way into the bimini.....nice boat. Next was the Mahe' 36, which IMHO challenged a lot of 38'-40' boats for overall design integration and function. Smallest of the bunch (not counting the Telstar 28 Trimaran) was the Gemini 34. It was the speed demon of the day, regardless of who was at the helm, it ran circles around all the other catamarans, and carrying as many if not more people. There is nothing on the water in a cruising sailboat that performs better and makes better usage of a 34' long by 14' wide footprint. Factor in cost, back then, you could not spend at the factory over $200,000 for a Gemini....with every possible factory whistle and bell, you would get change back. More than 1 group of people that day decided to buy (2) Gemini's instead of (1) of the larger catamarans.
Love your reviews, some of the most thorough and fun videos on YouTube. -
The Gemini is an excellent boat for those that can't afford a lagoon etc. There are currently 2 Geminis are cruising the south pacific. ( that I now of) Here on Youtube are videos of those that have crossed the atlantic on Geminis. For persons concerned about speed a Gemini is a bit faster that a 34 ft monohull plus the added benefit of no heeling.....
-
Seasoned cruisers do confirm they are same speed or faster as the equivalent monohull, and you are on top of the water and not at an angle!

Thank you for your comment. Do you like the music in any of the other videos?
-
My experience sailing is mainly in the Caribbean, never Transoceanic. One of those things in my bucket list.

Thank you for your comment, you are welcome to check out the rest of the videos showing very different boats.

That's right!

Probably less than you are thinking, since Gemini's are very affordable, also the fact that financing is becoming increasingly available for this type of purchase. Contact me if you would like to have more details and thank you for watching and commenting.

I'm calculating just how many hours of overtime I'd have to work in order to afford it!

Wow, it's really been 3 years since I uploaded this video. Showing the Gemini represented a breakthrough. From this video and on, is when my channel really started to pick up some traffic. Happy 3 Year Anniversary "2012 Gemini 105 MC" video! It's here! Final cut of the video showing the VERY popular Gemini 105MC 2012 Edition. This cat is perfect in size for many, great at moving around in small spaces, yet ready to take on the ocean upon request. More affordable than you think. The video itself is very informative, keeps a brisk pace and is accompanied by pretty good music. Don't forget to check out the last 2 mins for the ride.
