2004 PT Cruiser GT dyno run

how does the trans hold up on these with power? lol

My boss has a 2004 PT turbo that I have convinced her to do a little work to. not much just a downpipe, hard pipes and some suspension. any idea how much power the regular automatic can handle. not building for power just a little more fun to drive

yeah actually the 2.4 turbo engine was in the cruiser first but since these cars are so heavy 3,300+ lbs., and no aerodynamics. They put the engine in the much lighter neon. Our PT's have a different intake manifold, throttle body and intercooler but everything else is the same. There is a non-turbo PT engine with different valves, pistons, rods etc...that is different from the srt4 though.

Do they have the same motors as the neon srt4?

Pretty good, almost as much power as a tune only hhr.

Yes 3rd gear using autostick. Im actually going to detune this car some to save the trans. The 03' 5speed i got is the one im going to go more on since the trans isnt a weak point like the autos are

You did the run in 3rd gear right? ... No boosting on 4th... I talk to Gus, and Im trying to get a kit for the tranny mods for less money... I will let you know... I have a transmission and the tech guy ready... He will order the parts as soon as he can and follow the insteuctions from the post Gus did on the PTNetwork

3" 02 housing, 3" catless dp running through full 3" pipe out the back. There is a custom made non baffled muffler (like a glasspack) in the middle though

Are you running a catless dp? Any resonators? What type of muffler you using? Thanks
