That is one real nice build for sure. Good job & well done!!

Kaydee, nice build an informative video. I have one question, where did you buy your beam combiner? Any suggestion is helpful. I can find the separate mirrors but no assembled mirror holder like you seem to have there.

Cool, but this video should be cut into about 20 segments each with a different topical notation in the title.

really nice build. what extrusion is that...is it musumi or 8020 if so what mm. thanx for posting
-
"if they're too stupid to turn on the blower or water pump" ha ha ha that probably triggered someone who needed a safe place, love the ugly truth :) No reason to build the complete enclosure as big as needed for simply just a bigger tube, I thought adding that extension was a simple solution with minimal expenditure.

How much did it cost you to set up this machine...
Is it much more affordable to build then to buy? -

thank you for sharing...my next build.

great work.
What can you cut with a 80W laser?
Acrylic, wood, aluminum,...?
and what maximum thickness -
Great job and lots of valuable information for other builders in the video, thank you very much. One question: what type of aluminum profiles did you use for the axis motion parts? It doesn't look like a v-slot, but the wheels are sliding on a kind of one side v-rail.

Maybe I missed it (didn't have time to watch the whole video). What is the source for the BYB material you made the panels out of? What do you call it?
Thanks. -
Why are the stepper motor drivers so beefy? I just got a smoothie board I will try to use for my modded K40. It is more or less the same with 3d printers. The drivers are way not that beefy.

Thanks for sharing!

Nice work kaydee457! I'm curious as to the location of the share drive you mentioned in the video. Could you provide a link? My apologies if I missed it somewhere.

Hey Kaydee
Love your work, very informative, I've made a couple of custom shapeoko cnc machines in the past and I'm about to embark on making the same Laser engraver/cutter you show here.
Can I ask about your Z height belt, is it one piece or did you join it, if so, how ?
Where do I find a one piece belt if that's actually what you using, I can't seem to find anything over a meter .
Thanks. -
Exactly what I was looking for! I needed to understand the mechanics and wiring for a BOSSLaser at my job. Amazing video! Thanks for uploading it!

Could you please post a parts list?
-
Where can I find the plans?
