We got cruisers, we got sport bikes and which one is best for you, so stay tuned. Here at GN Gonzales we have a passion for riding. We want to educate you so you are safe and also promote the motorcycle industry. In this episode we're going to talk about street bikes, the difference between cruisers and sport bikes. Before I talk about the different types of street bikes, what classifies a street bike as an actual street bike? Number one, we are on paved roads. It comes with smooth tires with very light tread on it. Are we recording? We are? Secondly, we have engine sizes that rang from 120 cc's easily up to 1200. Yes! Which means you have the capacity of reaching 100 miles an hour but we recommend keeping that to the track. So now the difference between the street bikes, we got sport bikes and cruisers. The battle has been over years. Cruisers. That classic American style that was modeled after the 1930's and the 1960's. So Cruisers also come with a large displacement V twin engine that gives you a lot of low-end torque. Although these are heavier bikes, they'll still get up and go. Your riding position, your feet are well underneath you and you hands are up high, which gives you the illusion of cruising, which is why they call them cruisers. Now we have Sports Bikes, we got speed, acceleration and breaking. This bike was made to go fast. They come with an inline 4 engine, which is a high performance engine that sits in a light weight chassis. Now, with all that speed you got to be able to stop. It's going to come with high performance break pads and multi piston calibers but still this bike is known to top well over 100 miles per hour, which is a bleep of the throttle. All right, well that wraps that up. As always we value your feedback, so if you have any questions or comments leave them below and if you are in the Baton Rouge area come by and see our show room floor, if not check us out at gngonzales.com.
