The Canadian Coast Guard prevented a 30-metre yacht from sinking in Pender Harbour Wednesday afternoon, but it was quick thinking local sailors who helped the passengers and crew to shore when they heard the mayday call. Recently seen side by side off Monaco was the cruising pair of superyachts Infinity and Intrepid. The 67 metre Damen-built support yacht was launched in March this year and joined her 88.5 metre mothership Infinity, delivered by Oceanco in 2015, a few weeks ago. Since its global unveiling in 2015, it was only a matter of time until the first SeaXplorer expedition superyacht became a tangible project. Now, AMELS and DAMEN have announced that the first member of the SeaXplorer range has been sold. The 53 metre trimaran superyachts Galaxy and Galaxy of Happiness have been delivered to their new owners in the UAE, Latvian yard Latitude Yachts has announced. The superyacht pair were launched in Riga on May 10 and both went on to reach their designed top speed of 30 knots on their sea trials.
