found one on craigslist for 700 going to take a look

I had my 83 V-65 up to an indicated 142 MPH once. I'm not sure it would have gone any faster as I ran out of road and the desire to go any faster on two wheels.
-
if it sold take it off on youtube
-
got one and love it
-
Had one in the market for another!!!
-
Anyone know where I can find one of these to buy? Can't find one in good condition anywhere.
-
I bought one in '84 for $3200 out the door. I had to sell it from a loss of a job to a plant closing but as soon as I got back on my feet again I bought another one. They were a great bike, I thought it had good looks and a engine that revved freely to boot. Eventually I sold that second V65 too but I sure wish I still had it still.

Bazuzeus Your numbers are way off.. Any V65 bike can do at least 150 mph. Your attempt at being smart failed.
-
damn !
-
+Bazuzeus I dont know where you are getting your numbers from but I can tell you with all certainty as an owner of one that sits just as it did from the showroom floor that 119 mph is DEFINITELY NOT the top speed of this bike. I've never had the balls to stay in the fuel long enough to find out exactly what that top speed is but at 119 it was still launching.

In 83' I was working for a place called Honda & Yamaha, the shop sold 11 of this motorcycle 10 of them came back with some kind of damaged. In a very short time. One guy didn't stop at a "T" in the road, went through the house. Crazy.

I still have my 1984. It is mint. I bought it brand new 30 years ago. You have really beat up this bike. It shouldn't even be allowed on YouTube. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.
-
Is it still for sale??
-
I owned it 1984, brandnew. I was so proud, it runs 230 Km/h per hour (tacho). It consumed 11 l. per 100 Km. I met my best girlfriend ever and traveled thousends of Km from Hamburg to Greece (Santorini, Naxos) with her. Later she married me!!!. The best weeks of my whole life!

is that seat comfortable?? I know its corbin but which model ?? Thank you

The V65 Magna appeared from 1986 to 1989 in the Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest production motorcycle with a "design speed" of 173 to 176 miles per hour (278 to 283 km/h).[2][3] During this period the production motorcycle with the fastest tested speed was the 151–158 miles per hour (243–254 km/h) Kawasaki GPZ900R.[4][5][6]

Wasn't close to be the fastest production bike in 1983.... VF1100C top speed : 193kmh / 119 mph Laverda Jota : 233kmh / 140mph Honda VF1000R : 240kmh / 150mph Kawazaki Z1 : 212kmh / 132mph Ducatis 900SS : 217kmh / 135mph etc etc Even a 1949 Vincent was faster (200kmh / 125mph)
