MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to offer yet another handsome (and rarely seen) 1967 Ford Mustang GTA with factory big block! This particular Mustang is a true “S Code” car, complete with the highly sought after 390 cubic inch, 4-valve V8 engine, automatic transmission and is extremely correct! It comes to us from a private collection and was stored in a climate controlled garage a great portion of its life. This Mustang was professionally restored and it definitely shows! The GTA name came in 1967 when Ford presented its second generation Mustang and along with it, the optional GT package that enhanced the sporting appearance. With an optional automatic transmission, such a Mustang became a “GTA.” This handsome sports car has the body and styling of the All American muscle car as well as the V8 power of the iconic pony platform! This Mustang is finished in the correct color of Suaterne Gold Metallic that compliments the black vinyl top and Ivy Gold interior. The car has been repainted in the recent past to the utmost professional and high quality and looks excellent! The lower rockers have black GTA stripes that look great. The front and rear bumpers retain a brilliant shine and luster and show no notable damage to either. The black vinyl top is in beautiful condition, showing no signs of wear, tear, staining or bubbles underneath. This is one seriously handsome car! Inside, the interior is fresh and clean. The Ivy Gold vinyl wraps the front bucket seats and the backseat and looks great with no signs of wear or tear. The interior is in beautiful shape! The carpet and headliner are in excellent condition as well. The dashboard houses a set of original gauges and a JVC AM/Cassette radio, all of which look great! It should be noted that there is a detachable center console pad with cup holder and pocket for any of your goods while driving! Under the hood, you will see a very neat and clean, massive 390 cubic inch, 4-valve V8. As mentioned, this is a true “S Code” Mustang and it came factory equipped with the 390. This beautiful Mustang has only traveled 1,336 miles being restored! Mated to the engine is an automatic transmission. The automatic transmission is one part of what makes a GTA a GTA. It also came factory equipped with Selectaire A/C, which is another part of what makes the GTA a GTA! The car sits upon a set of 14″ chrome Mustang wheels that are wrapped in P225/70R14 BF Goodrich Radial TA white letter tires that look great. The under body is as clean as the top and fully rebuilt suspension, brakes and more. The red iron oxide floors show no signs of rust or repair. The car comes complete with a Marti Report and a copy of the original window sticker backing up the car’s pedigree. It further shows the car was originally sold at Oklahoma City Ford in Oklahoma City. The car was assembled in San Jose, California. This is one of the rarest Mustangs to be found as very few GTA coupes were equipped with a big block 390 and factory A/C. In fact, the window sticker shows the optional 390 powerplant was a $263.71 additional option while the Selectaire Conditioner was an additional $356.09! This is an extremely clean example of the craftsmanship put into the iconic Mustang back in the 1960s. This car would make an excellent addition to any collection or as a wonderful Sunday cruiser with the family. The VIN number is 7R01S107143 and the mileage currently shows 1,336.
