Gotta love the zoomies echo off the riverbanks! Excellent camera/audio work too. What engine & propshaft RPM do the K's generally turn at WOT?
-
very cool video...really shows how scary fast these boat's are.

Awsome sound. Nice to see these things are still around. I miss watching them on the big 1-2/3 mile courses that are no longer allowed by the APBA. Thanks for posting!

fifteen hundred HP in a "K", god would have his hands full.
-
gotta keep out water ingestion...circle boats can get a little wet.
-
That right there gentlemen, is why America is the best
-
Looks like he can't really hit WOT.
-
looks like even Tony had his hands full....

Go to a circleboat race and you will see all inboard class v-drive boats have PTO (power take off) from the crank snout. Been like this since the early 1960's.
-
How exactly does this work, appears to be a v-drive but blower snout is toward the bow?
-
It burns Methanol which burns at twice the rate of race fuel. 25 gallons in 7 minutes is about right. :)

thanks for a reply.

It's a Revenge Hull.

Haha, I was just thinking the same thing. I love watching these boat fire up at the boat launch. I stop what I'm doing, and just stare in awe.
