I tried several types of protoboards for <500MHz analog circuit prototypes and measuring utilities and always ended up with the cheapest 100 mil one sided type. NO ground plane at all. You have to make sure the GND is always near by and the loops tight but the advantage is: lower capacity, no copper removing. After I was done making the actual circuit I added redundant GND wires around and X-ing the entire circuit. I always build closely packing, usually soldering the connected parts on the same hole\eye. For shielding you have to ground it inside a box of cause.

30 dollars are you nuts. Go somewhere else try amazon I bet you can get same tool for a third of the price. But great ways to circuits. Thanks.

A dremel and a small engraving bit also works well for making circuit boards if it's simple enough that you don't need to etch it.

@w2aew. Thank you for sharing. I really like watching your videos. Keeps me motivated and focused in this noisy world we live now. On another note, It would be nice if you could do a video about ground planes and why they are important in high speed circuits.

#w2aew do u mind helping me understand bldc esc circuits plz. I am trying to homebuild an rc plane electonic components from the esc to the bec to the receiver.. The servo motor circuit. Would appreciate your reply tyvm.can't buy components and I love electronic and stuff like that so I can build rc cars,planes..etc.
