Wow, you really don't have anything on that site.

Used boat for sale- Needs "some" work. LOL Knowing how the U.S government spends money, 95% of the original price would still be some seriously big bucks. How many people remember NASA's $600.00 toilet seat?
-
I bet whoever bought it made a hefty profit selling it, smart individual.
-
It would make a great setting for a Ghost Ship horror movie.
-
Was this boat in McHale's Navy?
-
it boat still or not
-
It is not that interesting after 6 years later - IS SOLD - Take it OFF !!
-
do you have small submarines for sale on occasion and if so would you send me any information
-
What did it go for?
-
That would have made a nice research vessel.
-
Navy should be ashamed on the condition of this boat. Poor maintenance system. In the Army we always bought it up to 10/20 standard before disposing to DRMO.
-
I bid .01...
-
If that is the shape
our navy ships are in we are going to loose any war we fight. -
dam... 95%.... this thing needs alot of work..
-
Is it for sale still ?

The name was TWR-823 Porpoise, I served aboard, my name is Kelly Rhodes rhodes_kelly@hotmail.com
http://www.GovLiquidation.com - This 120 ft Navy ocean going utility vessel has been sold. It went for 95% off of the original retail value! Manufactured by Naval Ship Systems Command in 1985, this model TWR-120-TR-823 boat weighed 80 tons with a Steel/Carbon hull and was powered by 2 Caterpillar 3521 engines, V-12, 1140 SHP rated at 1800 for each engine. The ship could travel at 15 knots fully loaded, with a 102ft LG O/A, 21ft molded beam, 7ft 9in draft. It was originally a U.S. Navy torpedo retriever boat. Located in San Diego, CA, it needed hull and deck work at the time of sale: the decking was dismantled, it had damaged electrical wiring, damaged fuel and service lines, and a minimal power train. It was missing the batteries, crane, rollers, shafts, rudders, props, king post, anchor and anchor winless.
